Dealing with fogging glasses, visors or goggles? Safety half masks have got your back

Updated: Oct 5, 2023

Stealth Welding Safety half mask offers the highest filtration efficiency - 99.999% & lowest breathing resistance of any half mask on the market.

Stealth Welder’s safety mask is a half mask that offers the capability to be worn under welding helmets and visors. Stealth is a British design to manufacturer of respiratory filters and facemasks. That has been within the industry for well over 30 years, all respiratory masks have been developed by research that has designed and engineered some of the most efficient and highest-performance safety respirators.

The safety mask gives ‘better than’ protection compared with disposable masks FFP1, FFP2 & FFP3. No other safety mask has any aerodynamic protection grill to divert microscopic dust and fumes away from the welder's breathing area.

The main features of the welder’s half mask are;

  • The ergonomic low-profile design that allows extremely low breathing resistance makes the stealth mask suitable for most work activities ranging from low to strenuous and short to extended periods of time. Which can be worn in combination with a welding helmet or safety visor.

  • Manufactured from high-grade materials which are odour free. The mask body material is latex and silicone free.

  • Single-piece head and neck strap which slides with ease through four anchor points optimally positioned on the grill. The strap is easily tensioned by simply pulling the strap ends through the self-locking neck slips providing a customized user face fit.

  • HepacP3(R) Replacement Twin Filters is an exclusive design, ultra-high efficiency, low breathing resistance, robust composite media, protection factor 20 XWEL and fully certified.

  • A protective grill with sleek downward-facing louvres protects the filter from debris and dust in harsher environments and is easily removed for cleaning and filter replacement.

  • Large non-return exhaust valve eases breathing and reduced user fatigue, positioned to exhale downwards avoiding condensation of visors and eye protection.

These safety masks can be worn with ALL PPE and have an exhalation valve uniquely placed to direct any airflow downwards guaranteeing no steaming or misting of visors, glasses or goggles. Although with new regulations during welding you should wear appropriate respiratory protection such as PAPR units.
